The Yemen Kuwait Bank for Trade and Investment is the first private bank established in Yemen, through a partnership between the State of Kuwait and Yemen in 1977, with its headquarters in the capital, Sana'a, and the bank provides various banking and financial services, such as loans, deposits and credit cards, through Its distributed network of branches, and it has several branches dealing in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, which are separate branches. It is considered the first Yemeni bank to establish an insurance company affiliated with it in 1993.
